Four-Run Eighth Sends A’s Past Dodgers

Travis Slywka's two-run single in the bottom of the eighth broke open a 3-3 game as the Sheboygan A's would go on to defeat the De Pere Dodgers 7-3 at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan Wednesday night.

Travis Slywka’s two-run single in the bottom of the eighth broke open a 3-3 game as the Sheboygan A’s would go on to defeat the De Pere Dodgers 7-3 at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan Wednesday night. Both starting pitchers put on a show Wednesday, as Eric Schmitz (Sheboygan), pitched 7.1 innings, striking out 11, while Sam Forkert (De Pere), went seven innings, striking out 10. Although limited to just two hits, the A’s took advantage when given the opportunity. Bryce Brogni hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third giving the A’s their first lead at 2-1. In the a’s four-run eighth, the A’s go runs on Slywka’s single, a wild pitch and an error to put the game away.
