Lombard Gets Better of Braves Monday

A five-run fourth inning pushed the Orioles in front of the Braves Monday night as the Orioles went on to defeat the Braves by a final score of 9-5 at Addison Community Park.

A five-run fourth inning pushed the Orioles in front of the Braves Monday night as the Orioles went on to defeat the Braves by a final score of 9-5 at Addison Community Park. Ryan Tuntland led the offense for Lombard, going 3-5 at the plate with a double and a home run. John Carmody led the Orioles with four total bases. Ryan Trokey and Diego Rincon each had two hits for the Braves. The Orioles split the pitching duties between Miggy Villafane and Kyle Pauly (four innings each), with Justin Yeager getting the final inning. They combined for 12 strikeouts and only two walks, with Villafane getting the win. Eric Ryan and Alex Cardoza took the mound for the Braves, also combining to strike out 12 Orioles in the losing effort.
