An early lead helped the De Pere Dodgers defeat the Sheboygan A’s 7-3 Monday night at Westwood Park in De Pere. De Pere got things started in the first inning, scoring four runs on a pair of doubles and a single. Matt Willems got the win for De Pere. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out five. Jared Van Bramer threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Van Bramer recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for De Pere. Austin Fox took the loss for Sheboygan A’s. He allowed ten hits and six runs over six innings, striking out six. De Pere totaled 11 hits in the game. Griffin Summers, Adam Zeratsky, Noah Robinson, and Staniske all had multiple hits for the home squad. Summers went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead De Pere in hits. Sheboygan A’s tallied nine hits of their own in the losing effort. Jake Arens and Ross Krist each collected multiple hits, with Arens leading Sheboygan A’s with three hits in five at-bats.
