Early Lead For Lombard Orioles Seals Fate For Burlington Barons

The Burlington Barons fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-5 loss to The Lombard Orioles on Monday. Lombard scored on a double by Ryan Tuntland and a triple by Adam Zeratskyin the first inning.
In the first inning, Lombard got their offense started when Tuntland doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Luke Lamm pitched Lombard to victory. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one. Jack Spicer threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
