Lombard continue their win streak with a win over Addison

Lombard Orioles 5 – 3 Addison Braves

The Lombard Orioles nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over The Addison Braves on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Lombard batting in the bottom of the eighth when Keith Kerrigan tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Addison scored three runs in the fourth inning, but Lombard still managed to pull out the victory. Colin Wieska, Mason Schaller, and Mike Rostine all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Lombard opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Lombard.
Alex Sroka earned the win for Lombard. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Paul Terelli, Tom Goodyear, Matt Erickson, and Scott Tucker all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Terelli recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Lombard.
