Burlington Posts Big Win Over Kenosha

On Tuesday night the Burlington Barons captured a 14-4 victory over the Kenosha Kings, scoring just under half their total runs in the eighth inning.

On Tuesday night the Burlington Barons captured a 14-4 victory over the Kenosha Kings, scoring just under half their total runs in the eighth inning. In the first half of the eighth inning, Burlington tallied six runs, and hits were produced by Danny Peterson and Zach Campbell. The Baron’s first run of the game came on an RBI triple from TJ Manteufel giving Burlington a lead right off the bat that they wouldn’t give up. Kenosha was able to tie the game up in the fourth inning but ultimately lost control of Burlington’s offense, letting up a run in the sixth inning and not scoring any of their own. Frankie Cistero led Kenosha with two hits in four at-bats and Manteufel led Burlington going 2-for-4 at the plate as well.
