WSL Tuesday Recap: Giants’ rally comes up short against A’s

After falling behind by scores of 5-0 and 8-2, the Oshkosh Giants rallied in the closing innings but came up short of completing the comeback in an 8-6 loss to the Sheboygan A’s at E.J. Schneider Field on Tuesday night.

After falling behind by scores of 5-0 and 8-2, the Oshkosh Giants rallied in the closing innings but came up short of completing the
comeback in an 8-6 loss to the Sheboygan A’s at E.J. Schneider Field on
Tuesday night.

The Giants had the tying runs on base in both the
eighth and ninth innings against A’s relievers, but could not push them
across in either frame.

Robbie Kleman smacked a solo home run and
finished with two hits, while Brandon Schilling had three hits and drove
in a run for Oshkosh. Jeremy McCarty also pitched in with two hits.

Matt Sabel threw six innings of one-run relief to keep the Giants in the game.
