WSL Monday Recap: Three WSL Teams in Action Monday, Go 1-2

WSL teams went 1-2, all in non-WSL games Monday night. The Sheboygan A's racked up a 5-0 win over Two Rivers, while De Pere and Oshkosh fell to Appleton and Manitowoc respectively.
Sheboygan A’s 5, Two Rivers Polar Bears 0
Brandon Winfield threw a 13 strikeout, 3-hit, complete game at the Two Rivers Polar Bears Monday night and the A’s came away 5-0 winners.
The win puts the A’s at 12-2 for the season as they embark on four straight road dates. The club is in Green Bay tonight, Oshkosh tomorrow and then after a couple days off, in Lombard for the important 4-game weekend.
In such control was Winfield Monday night that only three Two Rivers batsman made it as far second base.
Wyatt Olson’s fourth inning home run would’ve been all support Winfield needed but the score went to 5-0 when Hayden Fenner walked with the bases loaded and Dylan Detert doubled in two runs in the seventh.

Appleton Legends 8, De Pere Dodgers 2
The De Pere Dodgers dropped an 8-2 decision to Appleton Legends at USA Baseball Field on Monday.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Appleton scored four runs on an error and two singles.
The Dodgers scored one run in the top of the sixth to cut their deficit to six.
One run in the top of the seventh helped De Pere close their deficit to 8-2. A sacrifice fly by Noah Robinson sparked the De Pere Dodgers’ rally. But, Tyler Nehring got Jacob Watzka to strike out to end the game.
